Apple Cider Vinegar

Hey everyone.

I wanted to talk a little bit about the benefits of apple cider vinegar. I’ve been using it for a few months now and have noticed a change in how I feel. First let me just say I hate this stuff. The taste is horrible! You can drink it straight, which I refuse to do since its even horrible when mixed with something. If you can manage to choke it down by itself that would be better for you. On the other hand this stuff is extremely good for you. That’s why I keep drinking it.

I started using it when I started the Trim Healthy Mama way of eating. They have a drink that you use it in but I do mine different. I use crystal light to make my drink but that’s not too healthy since it has aspartame in it. I just couldn’t drink it the way they want you to.

Some of the benefits are that:

  • It helps you feel fuller longer
  • Helps you to lose weight
  • Detoxes the body
  • Helps to clear up acne
  • It could help to lower high cholesterol and high blood pressure
  • Could help strengthen stomach acid

And so much more. I make a pitcher of the crystal light and then add everything that the THM drink has except for Stevia. All you really need is 2 tablespoons a day and you will start to see a change in a couple of weeks. I was really hooked on soda and since drinking that apple cider vinegar I don’t have cravings for soda anymore. You don’t want any kind of ACV (apple cider vinegar) though. You want to make sure it’s the “BRAGGS Organic apple cider vinegar”.

I really feel like this stuff works. After drinking it, I feel like I have more energy. I try to drink it throughout the day. If I can’t then I always try to get at least one glass of it. How To Remove Dents In Carpet

Hey guys.

So recently in our apartment we got an AC unit installed. Which, I am so thankful for but it was such a pain in the butt since we were asked to remove things away from the wall. That was a problem since on one wall we had a giant round mirror and the other wall we had three bookcases. So when we moved the bookcases we found that there were huge dents in the carpet. I’ve had this happen before whenever we moved but I never really knew what to do to get rid of it other than to just wait and keep vacuuming over it until it eventually went away. But this was even happening with some of our light furniture. So I went onto Pinterest and found a link to what to do. http://www.thebudgetdecorator.com

This works so well! It might sound weird but all you need is:

  • Ice cubes
  • Vacuum cleaner

That’s it! All you need to do is move your piece of furniture, place ice cubes in the dent that the furniture made and wait for the ice to melt. Once the ice has melted and vacuum over the dent. That’s all. It’s so easy. I’m sure this would work on pretty much all types of carpets too. If you have a super heavy piece of furniture it might take a couple of times to get rid of the dent but with my bookcases I only had to do it once. I’m so glad I found this tip. It’s going to really help whenever we move out. I really don’t like carpet all throughout the house because it just gets so dirty but since I don’t have the option to remove it this is a tip that helps to take care of it. Makeup I Brought On Our Trip

Hey everyone!

So Kyle and I made a trip up to Oregon to visit family and surprise my dad for his birthday! I wanted to talk about the makeup that I brought with me. Just to warn you, it’s a lot! I never really know how I want to do my makeup when I go on vacation so I always over pack my makeup.

This is my makeup bag/purse that Kyle says looks like a doctor’s bag or something. It’s by Caboodles and I think it’s perfect for bringing on vacation. It’s got a pocket in the front and back of it and has plenty of space inside for all your makeup. This thing can hold tons but it does get heavy rather quickly. I fit all the makeup I wanted to bring inside, plus a separate bag for my face wash stuff and another bag for my brushes.

Now onto the makeup I packed! First I will start with primers and then work my way through everything.

The primers I brought with me are the NYX Studio Perfect Photo-Loving primer. I love this one because it has a more silicone texture to it but it doesn’t feel greasy at all. Then I brought the E.L.F. Mineral Face Primer in Tone Adjusting Green. I like this one especially for days where I feel like I’m more red in the face. Then I just brought the Urban Decay Eye shadow Potion Primer in Eden. I’m still trying to get used to this one. I have a travel set that came with four primer potions and I used up the primer in “sin” which I loved that one. So this one is different, I feel like it has a more matte finish on it and I noticed that my shadow still has some creasing after a while.

For foundations I brought my MAC Cosmetics Matchmaster in 1.5, and the Benefit Bigger Than BB Big Easy bb cream in 02 Light. I decided not to bring my Lumi True match just because I haven’t really been liking the way it looks on me.

The concealers I wanted to bring were my NYX HD Concealers in CW 02 Fair and CW 08 Nutmeg for a cream highlight and contour, then I brought my MAC Pro longwear concealer in NW20. I got color matched at Macy’s for my MAC foundation and concealer. Otherwise I would have no idea what colors I should have gotten. Lol

For my eyebrows I just brought my NYX eyebrow cake powder in Taupe/Ash for days that I don’t wear a whole lot of makeup, then I brought my Anastasia Of Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown, just because I love it and it’s my favorite. Then in this month’s Ipsy bag, I got another brow pencil by the company Chella and that is in the color Taupe. So I will see how that works and if I like it. Then to set my eyebrows I brought my E.L.F. Wet gloss lash and eyebrow clear mascara.

Next is my bronzers. So I totally could have just brought one but I felt like I should bring both of these. So first is Hoola by Benefit. I love that one and feel like I don’t use it as often as I should especially after getting the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Contour Kit, which is the other one I brought. I love this kit so much it’s not even funny. I highly recommend it for everyone! They have two different ones, I believe. One for lighter skin tones and one for darker. I think you can get those on their website. I don’t think all stores have both.

Blushes are another problem for me. I can’t just choose one and be happy. I had such a hard time picking the ones I wanted to bring so I brought six. Hahaha I know I have a problem. Anyway, so I brought the Milani Powder Blushes in 05 Coral Cove and 08 in Tea Rose, then the E.L.F. Blush palette in light, the blush I got in my Ipsy bag last month I think that is by Hikari in the color Tango, then Tarte Amazonian clay blush in True Love, and lastly MAC’s sheer tone blush in Pinch O’ Peach.

For Highlights, I brought MAC’s Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle, Physicians Formula Glow and Mood Boosting Powder in Translucent, Too Faced Leopard Love Complection Perfection kit, which has a bronzer, bush and highlight.

Then, for my eye shadows, I brought the Morphe Brushes Jaclyn Hill palette, the Lorac Pro palette, Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette, and Urban Decay’s Naked on the Run palette. I don’t know why I needed to bring so many. I just look and them and they are each so pretty and I can’t pick just one.

Next, I kept it pretty simple with the mascara. Technically I brought two, since one is in the Naked on the Run palette. That one is the perversion mascara and then I brought NYX Le Frou Frou volume and length mascara and my travel size eyelash curler from Ulta.

I have another problem with lip products as well. So, I brought my NYX lip liners in Pale Pink and Rose, Then Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm in 205 Elusive and 235 Mischievous. Then I brought the Revlon lustrous matte lipstick in 002 Pink Pout, MAC’s Crèmesheen in Cremecup. Ulta’s Butter Balm in Rapunzel and lastly my EOS chapstick.

That’s all the makeup I brought with me! I know it’s way more than I needed to bring but like I said, I have such a hard time picking out my makeup, so I just want to bring it all. I was going to list all my makeup brushes that I brought but this post is already really long. Method Brand Cleansers

Hi guys.

So I’m really excited to be talking about this stuff. I know it might seem a little odd to be talking about cleaning products on my wellness Wednesday, but this stuff is actually better for you to use. So what it is, is the Method brand cleaning supplies. I think they have been around for a while, but I just discovered them.

So what I have are the all purpose cleanser, the glass cleanser, the bathroom cleanser, and the room spray. Each of these things smells so good. They each have a different smell to them. I feel like the clean better than the other products I was using. The glass cleaner, in my opinion is way better than Windex, and I used that stuff all the time. They are a little pricier but they are so worth it.

I found all my products at Target. I’m not really sure where else they sell it but my local Target has a bunch of other cleansers that I can’t wait to try. They even have laundry detergent!

So what makes these products healthier for you is the fact that they are plant-based. In the past that really wouldn’t have mattered to me in the least bit. Since doing my own research on PCOS, I have found that many things can trigger your symptoms. Not only is it the food you eat, but the products you use on yourself and to clean your house with. Even smells can trigger your symptoms. Weird right? In a way it makes perfect sense though. As you are cleaning, you are inhaling the particles that are left in the air after spraying something. Therefore, you are ingesting the products. Not to mention that it can be absorbed through your skin. Some products can leave a residue, and if you’ve cleaned your dining room table with something that is chemical based, that residue is left on the table you eat on and if you or kid spills food on it, they are going to pick up and eat it still. So it does make sense that it could affect your symptoms. The one thing I love about using the Method brand cleaners is that after using it something, you don’t feel a residue. You just feel how clean things are.

If you are someone who has PCOS or just someone who doesn’t want to use products that are chemical based then I highly recommend finding and trying this brand. How To Get Softer Feeling Legs

Hi guys.

Today’s quick tip is on how to get smoother legs while shaving. I always notice that after doing this little trick, Kyle seems to notice a little more. This is what you will need:

  • Razor
  • Shaving cream/ body wash
  • Body scrub

* I didn’t have any shaving cream so I just used Kyle’s*

So first, you want to just shave your legs as normal. If you don’t use shaving cream, you can just use body wash or even hair conditioner. I’ve done that a couple of times. Next, you’ll want to use the body scrub and rub that all over your legs, then shave again. The body scrub will help get rid of any dead skin that is on your legs and shaving again will allow you get the spots you might have missed the first time.

If you don’t have a body scrub then you can make your own using sugar and olive oil. No special sugar is needed just whatever you have in the kitchen. Just make sure that you put more sugar than olive oil. You want the scrub to on the thicker side.

Urban Decay Naked Palettes

Hi guys!

I know a lot of people already have these but I wanted to talk about the Urban Decay Naked palettes. For those of you that don’t have one, I hope I can give you some information to help you pick one!

I have all three palettes. Each palette comes with twelve eye shadows and a double ended brush. The price has gone up on these but not by a whole lot. They used to be $50 and now they are $54.

Naked Palette One: There are three matte shades called “Virgin”, “Naked”, and “Buck”. The rest have a satin or pearl finish. This palette is on the warm side with nudes, greys, bronzes, and plum colors.

My favorite colors in this palette are: “Sin”, “Sidecar”, “Half Baked”, “Smog”, “Toasted”, and “Hustle”.

Naked Palette Two: This palette also has three matte shades called “Foxy”, “Tease”, and “Blackout”. This palette is similar to the first one with slightly cooler tones with rust and silver toned smokey shades.

My favorite colors in the palette are “Half Baked”, “Copper”, “Tease”, “Snake Bite”, “Suspect”, “YDK”, “Busted”, and “Blackout”. So pretty much the whole palette. It’s not that I don’t like the other colors, it’s just that I found myself reaching for these colors more than the other ones.

Naked Palette Three: Three matte shades in “Strange”, “Limit”, and “Nooner”. This palette is completely different using the rose, golds, pink shimmer tones.

My favorite colors in this palette are: “Dust”, “Limit”, “Buzz”, “Trick”, “Nooner”, “Liar”, “Factory”, and “Mugshot”.

I love all these palettes for many reasons and the color payoff is amazing. While you get some fallout, each color is very pigmented, smooth, and easy to blend. These palettes are very much worth the money. I don’t think you can really go wrong with any of them. Naked one and two are pretty similar with slight differences. It does use the color “Half Baked” in both palettes but I think they did that since that is one of their most popular colors. Naked three is all rose gold inspired. They are all very pretty! If I didn’t have them all but could pick two, I would probably pick naked 2 and 3. I find myself reaching for those ones more than the first one. If I could only pick one I would probably pick the naked 3 palette. That one is so soft and romantic looking and I’ve probably used that one the most. If you’re not into the more pinky colors then you probably wouldn’t like that one as much. Either way you really cannot go wrong with any of these palettes.

Now if you have the money and really want most of the Naked collection, Urban Decay did come out with a huge set called The Naked Vault. Now I’m not sure how often they have this is stock or if this is just a prize that you can win when they have contests for it but in the vault you get: all three naked eye shadow palettes, three naked flushed palettes which are a bronzer, blush and highlight palette in the shades “naked”, “Native”, and “Strip”, three kohl eyeliners in the shades “Blackheart/Darkside”, “Zero/Whiskey”, and “Perversion/Pistol” and three lip glosses in the shades “Streak”, “Nooner”, and “Rule34”.

Again, I don’t know if this is something that you can buy whenever it is in stock or if it’s a prize to be won. Either way it would make an awesome gift for a makeup lover. Benefits Of Walking

Hey everyone.

I wanted to talk about the benefits of walking. I’m not a runner at all so I always feel like getting in a good walk always makes me feel better. I’ve always struggled with my weight and on top of that didn’t like to exercise and sweat. When I did want to exercise I would just take our dog for a walk. So I did that for a while and found that I was starting to lose weight. That made me happy but once again my laziness won me over.

Now that Kyle and I are eating better, I have found that I have more energy and that makes me want to go hiking and walking and do lots more outdoor stuff. I still have my lazy moments but I have been finding that now, when I start to feel tired, that’s when I get up and do something. That helps a lot too.

These are some of the benefits I have found through research and through some personal experience:

I’m not sure about the last one but that’s what a lot of things have said when I was doing research. You also always want to make sure that even when walking you need to stay hydrated.
